Ribbon Race 2023

On Wednesday morning, April 26, seven Kerkrade residents received Royal Awards in honor of King's Day.

The awards, or "ribbons," were presented by Mayor Petra Dassen-Housen. 

Presentation of royal decoration to Mr. G.H.M. in de Braekt 

Mr. in de Braekt, Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau, for dedication to De Schakel, the Men's Choir David, Ieëre Road VVKW and work as Board member committee Herrezietsoeng Ieëre Road VVKW. Read more
 

Presentation of royal decoration to Ms. M.J.R. Stams 

Ms. Stams, Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau, for efforts as a teacher at the Vazom, as an artist at Workshop K and with the project Mining Monument 't Koelleëve on a traffic circle in Eygelshoven/Kerkrade. Read more

Presentation of royal decoration to Mr. W.J. Mertens and Mrs. H.H. Mertens - Gijzen 

Mr. W.J. Mertens and Mrs. H.H. Mertens - Gijzen, both Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
Mr. W.J. Mertens for his efforts with the church Parish St. Martinus Spekholzerheide, Singing Choir st. Rochus and as volunteer, treasurer and financial expert with the local Zonnebloem department. Read more
